celebrated the 212th anniversary of establishing the 3rd May
Constitution and the 58th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. It was read the roll of the dead in front of the commemorating plate. Scouts from the 6th DH performed the artistic part concerning events from before 1791 at the community centre in Bojanowo. |

The celebration of the 84th anniversary of Poland’s regaining independence was begun with a mass in the parish church. Then, the color guards and delegations marched to the marketplace, where the ceremonies of paying homage to the war casualties took place. After that, Junior High School students gave an Independence Day performance in the community center. |

First-year students were traditionally “admitted” to the school community by the principal. After taking the oath and listening to the principal’s, parish priest’s and mayor’s speeches, the freshmen took part in a competition. Not only the students, but also their home-room teachers and parents participated in the events. The competition winner was class 1c. After that, there was disco organized. |

The official opening of a modern gymnasium. The mayor of Bojanowo symbolically opened the gymnasium and gave the key to the principal of the Junior High School. The gymnasium can be used for team games (like basketball, volleyball or handball) or tennis matches. The gymnasium is equipped with electronic time meters. There are changing-rooms and bathrooms at the back. |

A meeting with health-an-safety specialists about the safety on farms during the upcoming vacation was held. |

All students of our school made for the Głuszeks’ agro-tourist farm in Pakówka. We saw there an obstacle horse riding show, had a bonfire and fun watching our mates’ performances. They sang songs and one of them dressed in traditional clothes played the bagpipes. The main feature, however, was a “wellington throw” competition. |

There was a meeting with a doctor, Ms. Monika Kułakowska, who told us about the danger of taking drugs. Additionally, our students staged a performance about the harmful effects of nicoti ne, drugs and alcohol. |

The scouts led by Maria Świtała organized a “Treasure Hunt” event. In order to greet spring, all classes with their teachers went to the forest, where after solving a number of puzzles, and overcoming all obstacles, they were supposed to find a treasure which was a kilo of candies. |

A meeting with Mr. Władysław Grodzki, a traveller, was held. He had visited all continents but Antarctica. He showed us many s ouvenirs and videos from his travels |

For the third time a ceremony of admitting first-year students was held. Traditionally, there were the oath, speeches and a disco after that. |

A mock junior high school exam was held all over Poland. For our school students it was a very important exam; and although not many of them had gotten prepared for it, all of them, perhaps, cared about the results. |

The Teachers’ Day at our Junior High School was due to the tradition. The teachers, both the present and the retired ones, as well as other school employees attended a ceremony and a performance prepared by the students. |

Our school buildings were full of laughter as it was the day when students willingly go to school – the Children’s Day. The teachers and parents organized a competition for the first and second grades. The students competed in, for example, running with a ball between one’s knees, dancing with a mate on one’s back, pulling the rope or eating rice with chopsticks. After that, the students went to their classrooms where they received warm sausages and cool drinks. |

The students attending journalism and theater interest groups staged “The Olympian Feast of Gods”. Our Olympia was made of a pile of papers, and the Gods’ clothes were made of sheets. We had a real great fun! |

Another competition – humanistic this time. Students from all our school classes took part in it. They could show their command of English, as well as their knowledge of the history of Poland and Polish Literature. |

We carried out a competition “We Get To Know the Rawicz Land”, in which students from all junior high schools from the administrative unit of Rawicz took part. The representation of our school won with one point. During the competition, a folk dance group "Gołaszyniacy" gave their performance, one could listen to bagpipes or watch exhibitions “Photographies of Bojanowo” and “Legends and Stories about Bojanowo”. Every participant received a souvenir badge. |

We had a four-member delegation from Stramproy, Holland, as guests. On their leaving, they said: "We have just visited the Junior High School in Bojanowo today. It has been our first visit to this school. We treat it as part of cooperation between Holland and Poland. Dzisiaj odwiedziliśmy gimnazjum w Bojanowie. To jest nasza pierwsza wizyta w tej szkole. Traktujemy ją jako część współpracy miedzy Holandią a Polską. Whatever we have seen here has impressed us a lot.. We are especially impressed with the Internet laboratory at this Junior High School." |

Another competition. This time, the competition was related to ecology, and it was called “Water Is Life”. First, students took a written test. Then, they were supposed to write an appeal to people, whose leitmotif was, “Let No Drop of Water Falling On the Earth Flow To a See Without Serving Humankind”. In addition to this, the participants were also supposed to present this idea in an artistic way. |

That day, a European Union knowledge competition took place. Each class had drawn lots to see which country they would present. Then, they made posters presenting “their” countries and their characteristics. The students also presented, often in a funny way, things associated with the countries. |

We grandly celebrated the first day of spring. The student council prepared a lot of attractions, e.g. what students know about teachers and what teachers know about students, the most beautiful song, and, due to the Polish tradition, a dummy representing winter was burnt. |

Win the school hall, which at the same time serves as a gymnasium, a meeting of our students with a superintendent of schools, the mayor and the principal was held. There were many questions about the future of the school, and all of them were answered. |

In Bojanowo, like all over Poland, Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (an all-Poland charitable event) had its ninth edition. Junior high and elementary school students organized a performance including dances, songs, recitations, music, and also an auction. |

The principal admitted new first-year students in a so-called “admitting ceremony”. During the performance, many freshmen had stage-fear. After the performance, there was a traditional disco! |

There was a performance for teachers, both the present and retired ones. The event was started by the elementary school children, after who the junior high school youth gave their performance. The audience were impressed by our singing, recitation and dancing skills. |

Our scouts spent those days on a scout campsite on a lake in Lgiń. They took part in sports competitions mushrooming and a bonfire event, during which 6 our school girl scouts took the Scouts’ Oath. |

...but even during vacation one can spend time with their schoolmates. Many of our student went on a scout camp organized by the Rawicz Scout Regiment. They spent two weeks in a mountain village, Olesnice (the Czech Republic). |

Welcoming of spring! It was a really great even organized by scouts. After a competition for the most beautiful dummy (representing the unwanted winter) we set out on a (noisy) walk to nearby Pakówka, where we had a picnic and a bonfire with sausages. |

Our students took part in a seven-step addiction preventive program "II elementarz - 7 kroków" in Osieczna, a town 30 kilometers from Bojanowo. It was a great chance to get acquainted better with each other. |

There was the eighth final of Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (an all-Poland charitable event) The 8 th edition was organized by students, like with the previous ones. With the help of the Bojanowo Community Center and sponsors, we organized a concert at 4 p.m. It included performances of elementary and junior high schools students, a folk dance group "Gołaszyniacy ", and the youth from the Community Center performance groups. Thanks to the sponsors, there was an auction for the charity. We collected 3 960, 75 zlotys. |

We had Christmas meetings within our classes. We sang Christmas carols, wished each other “Happy Christmas and gave Christmas gifts to our classmates. |

That day, there was a ceremony of admitting junior high school students by the principal. After the official part of the ceremony, the junior high school youth (youth not children any more!) had a dance. That ceremony will be a regular event at our school since then. |

Teachers’ Day. There was a Teachers’ Day ceremony which was attended by the employees of junior high and elementary schools. Aside from the present teachers, there were also retired teachers as well as the mayor and the chairman of the Town Council invited. |
